Noticed this for the first time on pansies - web search seems to suggest it is quite common (also attacks dahlias and begonias) but can't find a site that lists any treatment. Is there one?

It is called Ramularia but I am not sure if you can get a fungicide treatment on the amature market for this. It is not usually that bad on pansy and can be controlled by just removing the leaves that have the rings on.

Alternatively, buy clean plants to begin with and you should be ok.

Many thanks for the prompt information, Hawkwalk. I was afraid leaf removal might be the only practical solution. So, weather permitting, I'll be out there on my knees tomorrow, sharpened fingernails at the ready!
Glad to know it's not too serious, tho.
