Pie and mash with liquer sauce( eels optional) also nice.....used to have that a lot especially when up the east end of London, where it is made properly.

yogi - there are branches of Iceland in Tenerife, sells all the UK foodstuffs.

You're hard put to find a Canarian restaurant in some parts of the island - plenty of full monty breakfasts though

Hi ian. My hubby is a pie, mash and liquer fan. He was very happy when they opened a pie and mash shop here in Hastings. Can't stand liquer myself so I stick to gravy.

Vibra.....you mean you've never had it!.......it's really good....last time i had it, i was visiting Croydon, and went to a typical pie and mash shop......i'll send you a link........depends where you are in the country..........local tescos asdas and sainsburys has them to buy over the counter.....not quite the same, i know...but at least you wont have to come to the east or south of london to try it!

Thanks, lovely.......it being quite a tourist attraction throughout the year, Tenerife had to have a biggish supermarket with most UK foods available....i'm there in about 12 days time and to Gran Canaria and Lanzerote too gigging all over the place....should be good!
