grassheads

I am making grasshead characters using tights, grass seed and sawdust mixed with compost - adding faces, headbands etc ...... they are goint o be sold for charity shortly - I wondered if anyone knew whether cress seed would grow out through the tights? I thought they would look like curly hair so would bring some variety - do you think it would work?

I think it would be unlikely to grow through the fine knit as cress has a rounded leaf & the seed shell to push up, whereas grass is fine & pointed.
But hey, give it a try, you may be lucky, & it germinates very quickly so you would'nt have long to wait for an answer!

I suppose it would if you used fine fishnet stockings, i think red ones would look good.
Dont sell them at the church fair though or you may make the vicars hair curl !
