How many Pound shops are there in Redcar?

Two is correct.
There used to be four at one point but two have been closed down for a while now. A better question might have been how many charity shops are there in Redcar? (Loads), or, even better, how many pizza/kebab shops are there? (Countless)!

The reason I ask is because I have recently started a job near Whitehaven. I stay in B&B during the week and go home at weekend.
Like most coastal towns, it is run down and has seen better days, with a good deal of shops and houses in a bad state of repair.
One of tha lads I work with lives near Redcar and has pretty much the same story to say about it. He mentioned a multitude of pound shops in what seems to be a deprived area.
It seems the days of taking the train to the seaside are over.
