Jesus spent much of his life at Jerusalem - he was taken there as a child and presented to the Temple.
Jesus preached and healed at Jerusalem, and the New Testament account of Jesus chasing out the traders from the Temple is set in Jerusalem.

Jesus' Last Supper, His arrest at Gethsemane, HIs trial before Pontius Pilate, His trial, crucifiction , burial and resurrection all happened in and around Jerusalem.

Isn't all knowledge collective? Seems one could consult other available sources, but those are a compilation of opinions, facts and studies, no? Additionally, if not to receive answers for ones questions, what other service is served by this site? If no one asked questions, we may as well all go to bed...

.....and it is certainly not necessary to be quite so blunt when giving ' advice '.....instead users of this site can 'guide' the questioner in the right direction rather than acuse him of being lazy. I don't want to 'do' his homework for him...but neither would I see him as lazy for asking on here. Maybe he has yet to discover how helpful google can be !

erusalem is of interest to many Christians because it is the place where some key events in Jesus' life occurred. It is also a place that will have significance in the future. It has always been of significance to God and to the Jews and as such is important to Christians. As many people like to visit and see for themselves places where people important to them have lived, so is Jerusalem to Christians. It is interesting to see and learn about a city of which you read so much. It isn't the main event, though for Christians and there are no requirements to make a pilgrimage there.
It is the place where Christianity began at Pentecost and it is at Antioch where the term 'Christian' was first applie
