living in a static caravan on drive
6 Answers
Is it legal to put a static caravan (4 berth) on a drive and live in it? Being made homeless in two months time from private rented and am thinking of putting a caravan on my mother's drive and sleeping in there as no room in her home.
Her home is housing association. The drive is for her use only, not shared.

In the floods last year, householders were able to do it because it was regarded as a temporary residence as they had to move out of their houses. The same as also true if one redevelops a property - one can almost always get temporary permission to site a static caravan onsite whilst the redevelopment occurs.
