Thankyou trish, I have learnt a little more. My home page is virgin media, also when I switch off and then later switch on my PC, I have to click on to my photo and then add my password which then takes me to home page, and then I click on to my e-mail which, as previously stated, I go through the process again. I mainly use `hibernate` or `standby` when I don`t intend to use the PC for an hour or more, and switch off completely at the end of the day.
