i guess the most cheesy power ones will be celine dion rubbish, marian careys, whitney houstons.. all those 'classics'

you might find brian adams 'everything i do' would be high up there too.

i like a bit of bon jovi for ballads myself.

Wrong, wrong, WRONG! The best Power ballad in the world(...ever!) is "Sweet Child O'Mine" by Guns n' Roses.The opening riff is a classic, the lyrics are simple and affecting, and the ending in a minor key ("Where do we go now?"), thus putting a whole new slant on the sentiment of the song...well, genius.

If only Axl hadn't gone mad.Still, Velvet Revolver are pretty good.
