When I open control panel & click on display in order to change my desktop wallpaper. In the display marked background (Windows xp) there are a number of links which are from e-mails in box, I haven't a clue how they got there.Does anyone know how I can get rid of them please ?

Thanks for your reply clooless.
I've worked it out now, it would appear that in the past when I have saved something to my pictures, for some reason they were also saved into wallpapers (reason unknown). When I removed said articles from my pictures they all disappeared from wallpapers, very odd.Ron.
