are all these pump and spray gadets for painting garden fences really crap or is it just the one i bought?
it doesnt actually paint just comes out like a hose pipe and makes a mess?
is best just to use a brush or am i doing somthing wrong.

never used one myself but my brother in law did his fencing with one, I think it was the Ronseal, and had no problems at all. Have you checked the nozzle? most of these things are adjustble so perhaps yours is just set wrong
You need to use the coating that is designed for that particular spray gun because the consistancy will be correct and it should then spray properly.
If you have a air compressor, you can use a spray gun to attach to it, B&Q are selling the spray guns for �19.99. This can then be used for other house & garden jobs. I painted our fence with it & my husband has also repainted our sliding wardobes. We will also be painting all our kitchen unit doors in the near future. It leaves a better finish & saves time compared to hand painting.
Painting in-doors with a sprayer......I don`t thik so mandiz, unless you are an expert.
