Connected but can't navigate & ping doesn't work
Hello,
I'm using an XP computer and I am connected to the internet, but I cannont browse. My Ipod, laptop and the computer that is connected to the wireless is working perfectly fine, however my computer isn't working at all.
I am connected as my signal is 'very good' but when I open Explorer or Firefox the page can't be displayed.
Also when I try using the 'ping' function I get the following message: 'To help protect your computer, windows has closed this programme' Name: Windows Command Processor.
CMD.exe located in windows32
I've run an AVG scan and nothing has come up to suggest I have an infection.
Someone suggested that it's my zone alarm but I don't know how to deactivate it and I can't locate my system tray because there's no icon near my windows clock?? Any sugestions?

(Zone Alarm applications are usually easy to identify by name but some components hide under names such as 'vsmon'. If in doubt, simply close anything you know that you're not currently using).
