Hi, i have a 1994 106 Diesel and recently its been drinking alot of water, about a tank a week. Up until yesterday it drove fine, until when changing down gears to about 2nd or 3rd after doing about 50mph, the engine would cut out. Then yesterday night it drank a tank or water in 20 miles, came off the motorway after the tempreature light comin on, to find water gushing out the bottom, but not from the rad i dont think. And then it started cutting out after changing down gears when it was hobling home. Made an interesting evening tho.
Any ideas whats up? and if its worth doing on a diesel thats done 150k. cheers in advance

I would suggest that either the water pump or one of the rubber hoses may be causing the leak, though this wouldn't explain the engine cutting out, that may be temperature related..
