black heads ew!

hiya. I have a lot of black head on my nose! I am getting really self-concious about it and I'm starting to even hide my nose because of it! can anyone please help me and tell me how to get rid of these without just sayin to squeeze them all out coz' its not possible!! Pore strips don't really help either! :S thanks! X

And actually stand out, not just looking in the mirror too closely?

Everyone I know has a slightly dimpled or spockled nose by blackheads or whatever, I just think it might be like listening to your own voice on a tape recorder, it sounds terrible to you but fine to everyone else. And probably everyone else feels that way about their own nose.

Don't hide your nose, it's just a nose and probably no different that to everyone else's.

(How unhelpful this answer seems, but I don't think you should worry about it. Sorry)

Its simple jen012. Make an appointment with a licensed beauty salon, and they will remove the blackheads for you. Its a commonly used treatment.

The Beautician will first steam your face, by having you lie with your face under a machine that emits vapours. This will soften your facial skin and make it easier for the beautician to remove the blackheads. Then she (presume most if not all beauticians are female) will  proceed to remove them with a blackhead remover. Its a little uncomfortable if you're not used to the treatment, but its not that bad.

Hi jen012, i too was suffering from blackheads until i was getting my eyebrows waxed and the beauty therapist suggested microderm abraision, sounds scary but i had it done, it was painless, its kinda like a mini sandblaster for the skin, it removes dead layers of skin and wola, blackheads gone, it makes your skin feel wonderful afterwards.  She also gave me some skincare product to help close my now clean pores!!!

You can do a pretty good version of the beauty treatment by having a bath, which steams the skin, and then for the extractor use the round end of a hairclip. A very useful tool, as it gets into the angle at the side of the nose which is impossible to get at! Just apply a little pressure and the blackhead should pop out - small ones can come out 3 or 4 at a time.
