Who was the person who stabbed Maddy?

She was brought into the hospital by Maddy's sisters pretty much against her will, in fact she was initially unwilling to even go into go into the ward but was persuaded eventually, all this was being done as a "favour" to Maddy's sister and kept "secret" from the hospital staff, she then kept refusing to be treated for a knife wound but finally agreed. She did not want the knifing to be reported to the police, as she herself was known to them, when Maddy consulted with her superiors she was told to report the offence to the police. When the girl found out, she swore that she would get even with Maddy, so came back this week to carry out her threat.
