Painting waves

Hi everyone,

I have an idea in my head for a painting but as I am usually a pastel artist, I wondered if anyone could give me some tips on painting waves and ripples for a daytime seascape.

Did you know there are lots of painting tutorials on YouTube? Use the words "how to" or "tutorial" or "techniques" and "seascape", and don't forget to specify your medium. Water's a bitch though - so I imagine - and while just browsing quickly I found several seascape tutorials but no really great ones:-( But they may be out there if you spend more time on it than I did.
