We had a royal visit in Wigan today

The Queen arrived by Royal Train and we sneaked out of work to go and see her arrive, I have never ever seen The Queen and so it was really exciting. She looked amazing and even the rain didn't spoil the event! No doubt on this site there will be people jumping on here to ridicule and
dismiss anyone who feels any loyalty to The Queen, but who cares, leave them to their opinions. I was very chuffed to have seen her in person at last!

No sadly : ( But the son of one of my staff was the architect of the sports centre she went on to visit in Leigh and he was having lunch with her (on the same table) and so I am awaiting the goss in the morning!!! She did look lovely though.

I am really ashamed to say i never saw her in 1977, though I have seen Princess Margaret (1962) and Charles and Di (1985), and in 1979 I sold Princess Anne a fire salvaged sofa from the harrods fire clearance sale at Howells of cardiff

claim to fame! We all had to dress up in red white and blue, woudn't catch me in those colours now, green white and gold LOL!
