baby pheasants
5 Answers
i have found a female pheasant, sat in our garden, with very tiny baby pheasants, she was not there last night. i'm concerned about her, i've left her alone, as i thought that is what bill oddie would recommend, but it is still very unusual and i am quite worried about her and her little brood. i'm tempted to feed her. any advice.

So long as the temporary nest in your garden is in a safe place, and there are no marauding cats or dogs, she'll be ok and can look after herself and the chicks. If you are able to get fairly close without startling mum, you could sprinkle some wild bird seed fairly near (a yard or so) from her. Hope all goes well, please report back. Schutz.
