for example a 48 ampere/hour battery can provide 2amps for 24 hours,12 amps for 4hours or any other combination as long as the time multiplied by the amps flowing comes to 48.
a 72 ampere/hour battery can provide 2amps for 36hours,72amps for 1 hours etc.
hope this helps.
748rhydhirs figures are valid for a fully charged battery, where the battery discharge time is not so short that the current is limited by the internal battery impedance.
Take a 48Ah battery that can deliver 48A for 1 hour theoretically it could deliver 2880A for 1 minute. However the battery will have an internal impedance of around 0.04 ohm, which will limit the maximum current flow to around 300A.
