My little one is nearly the same age. She loves books, but after a few tends to lose interest. One thing she LOVES is her indoor tent, but you can make something similar with some couch cushions and blankets. We give her a little lantern and some toys and she'll stay in there for quite awhile sometimes.
Good luck!
there is a fabulous book called "Into the forest" by Anthony Browne. They'll have it at your local library. It's a great story, very easy for you to read to him as there are hardly any words. Despite this the story is quite scary and really grips you.
There are loads of things to spot in the unusual illustrations too. After borrowing from the library, I've just bought this for my 4 year old.
Thanks for all the advice and experience you have shared with me. I am a Chinese and my hometown is ShangHai that's what SH for. I am studying in BJ , I trained home to spend weekends there, with my family and my nephew( I am sorry , I mistaked it with cousin) , we had fun to mix pirates and chinese monkey king together, enchanting!
It's a pity that I might have no chance to lend some children's stories you recommended , Anthony Browne's Into the forest, and Roald Dahl' books. I am looking for them on the net , and at least I can learn sth. about the author, that's good. Thank you , shaz_rla, Rystan, crisgal, Emily Ball. You let me know that in Britain children's world is that brilliant and advanturous. :)
