I feel there are a lot of people laughing at her and not with her (if you know what I mean). She was on Britains Got More Talent the other night and they asked her to do the sexy wiggle she does to Piers Morgan - it was soooo embarrassing.
I did read she has slight learning difficulties - this would explain some of her odd behaviour.

To be honest I feel pretty sorry for her because she probably never wanted all that hype - making the headlines on an international level must be a hell of a lot of pressure for an amateur like her. ITV is to blame for that with their "oooh look at her, she's one of those loonies we all like to laugh at, oh wait...she's not. Aren't you ashamed to have judged that book on its cover like we wanted you to?". Now everyone expects her to be great, whereas she wasn't that amazing from the start.
ps. I sometimes find myself sticking my finger up to the tv when Piers is on my screen too, and for no particular reason other than it's Piers :P I bet it's not just me and Susan, right? ^_^ (please tell me it's not)

You would have to be pretty naive to think that ITV is really bothered about its contestants and the contestants would have to be pretty naive to think ITV is concerned about them. Maximum exposure at any cost no regard for anything else but profit. Well it's a commercial business so all's fair in love and war. Just hope Susan makes a few quid out of it all
I can't stand her - it's been said before that if she were an attractive 20-something lady then she would not be in the final, and I have to agree with that. She has got a good voice but certainly not the best in the competition & it seems that even she now thinks she will win. Even on her semi-final she seemed to get star billing with Ant & dec reading out the line up ending with '...and Susan Boyle!!' as if she were some special guest star. Much better people than her have been left by the wayside, and BGT is even more of a freak show with her in it!

I believe that's right about her being slightly, not retarded, but a bit backward. However, I think that nerves have caught up with her due to the unbelievable pressure and limelight thrust upon her in such a short period of time. Hence her less than attractive reactions to some of the tabloid criticism.
I've said before that I don't think she's a real top notch singing machine but the hype surrounding her may well lead to her winning the final on Saturday in spite of everything.
