Hi
my puppy is 6 months now she was a handful aswell, I find the best way to toilet train was to firmly shout no and put her outside and she picked this up within a couple of weeks its chewing i found a problem and still do she knows she shouldn't do it as when i am there she doesn't but as soon as I leave she does haha!!
My puppy sleeps upstairs with us so doesn't cry, but I don't think its because the puppy is on its own at 6 weeks it will still be missing its mum and siblings it will stop soon, good luck anyway they are well worth it coz when they are cute they are really cute!! I'm trying to teach mine simple tasks now like paw and lie down its so funny

When we had our puppy we put a ticking clock near his bed as the ticking is to remind them of their mothers heartbeat when in the womb!
Also, if your pup wines, just ignore it as they will think it's ok to keep doing so (bit like going back to a baby!). Our pup wined on the 2nd night we had him and has never done it since.
Hope this helps!
