painting ceilings

when painting my lounge ceiling with matt emulsion { with large windows at each end} i can see every roller join where the emulsion has overlapped,i have tried working across and down the ceiling but cannot get a satisfactory finish

their paint - whilst being cheaper- especially their bargain type- isnt the best-you usually have to put on loads of coats - so you arent saving anything in the long run- - it is ok for a first coat
best get a good brand and one coat of that should be enough now

Hi, another reason for having all the roller joins is that the paint is drying too quickly. You always need to keep what is called a wet edge. Try not to let the edge of the last bit you have done dry before putting on the next bit. As beejay says using B&Q paint wont help. I have never found it to be very good. Doesn't cover as well as the well known brands like Dulux.
