I had to change the battery and now cannot reset the watch as I've lost the instructions:-( It does not do it itself, or it is faulty. Any help?? Thanks, Johnny

ACtheTROLL was less than useful as name suggests!! Model number??? If I had the instructions they would tell me the model number, and also the info I need.
i have a radio controlled watch it sets itself every night,ie after 12 and before 6am.if you have only just put the battery in i would leave it till tomorrow.

pusspuss, Thanks. I have put a battery in (several days ago) and it hasn't set itself right. Now it's 19.25 and it says 2.08 or 14.08!! Maybe it's just a dud:-9
maybe its not picking up a full strength signal?
my bedroom clock resets itself after new batteries, just the alarm to re-set manually

oh and ACtheTroll isnt a troll if thats what you thought?
Question Author
weeal, I got a clock as a freebie at the same time and it picks up fine. If AC isn't a troll I apologise to him/her/it:-))
joe

on my two watches (both casio) ... the model number is etched onto the backplate ... seemed a reasonable guess that yours would be too!. Often a prompt is all that's needed

(cheers weeal - ;-)

Thanks weeal, but it's not:-( I did manage to find the model number by recognising the model on a sales site.
klik have more than one model of watch so telling which type would really be useful. Essential really.
But if it is one with a conventional dial and second hand there are 3 buttons on the right hand side- press the 2 outer buttons at the same time for 3 or 4 seconds. The second hand moves to 12 and the pointers stop moving while it looks for the time signal.
*If* the watch has fully reset to out of box condition then you need to press ALL 3 buttons together for 3 or 4 seconds.
It can take up to 10 minutes to set the watch, the best time to do it is when it is dark as there is less atmospheric interferemce.
There is an am/pm indicator, Press the lower of 3 buttons briefly and the second hand points to 3 if it is AM, 9 and it is PM. If it isn't right you can reset it by hold down the bottom button for 3 seconds while it is displaying AM or PM- it will swap over.
You can also do time zone setting, and recalibrate the hand position- this has become long so I'll only describe it if asked. If the hand position isn't right it will always show the wrong time- even after receiving the time signal.

Finally, I haven't mentioned the middle button- it is for the backlight- if it doesn't work change the battery before it goes flat.
