Sorry if this sounds like a silly question to some but I have just watched todays episode of home and away (recorded it!) and suddenly another kirsty, assume it's er twin sister has turned up to do her exam, Laura I think her name is? Thing is i've only just started watching home and away again after months of not seeing it and the last time i saw it the only twin she had was called jade and she wasn't her identical? when did this other sister turn up?

rach912, it's one of the true soapie plot twists! Yes it's the old baby switcheroo in the hospital. Poor old Jade belongs to someone else, Sob, and Kirsty's real twin Laura was raised by Jade's real parents. That's why they didn't look alike! It also didn't help that Jade was leaving the series. Now of course over here in Oz we've got the situation where...oh better not.

Laura is called Laura DeGroot and her parents turned up one day with a picture of their daughter Laura to show to Rhys & shelley -  who had come down.  Jade flips out naturally - as she always felt a bit different - being blond and not as popular as Kirsty and this is just a final nail in her coffin.  Jade leaves the show after having a total meltdown and causing the crash that left Seb paralysed. When Kirsty was in hospital for her kidney transplant - they contacted Laura again and she flipped out as she thought they wanted to get o know her but all they wanted was one of her kidneys - she says she can't as they've only really met - so that's what she meant talking about Kirsty's surgery on the episode of the exam.  It was Shelley who gave Kirsty the kidney in the end - and her weird fiancee dumped her as he had a phobia of scars - that's as good a storyline as the whole cast being abducted by UFO's asin The Colby's or spending a year in the shower in Dallas

wow aurelia, that's a really good explanation! I thought that was the wierdest plotline ever but wait till "The Stalker" episodes start!
