..ffs-this couple who can't have children have just collected the monkey baby they were adopting...the husband said they were 'expecting ' a girl....!

It was interesting knowing that the woman who had the teenage Monkey and 5 or 6 real kids, hadn't seen them for 5 years. Perhaps as a mother, she was very controlling, so much so that she pushed them away. It's a shame, because she could have filled the void with Grandchildren, I think she said her eldest child was 44.

Maybe she hadn't GOT any grandchildren, and that's why she wanted the monkey - as you say - to fill a void. or maybe she now regrets not being closer to her own children or something. Whatever the reason, those monkeys belong in their natural habitat, NOT as play-things for people with more money than sense.
