My son has recently purchased a labradoodle, does their fur have to be clipped regularly, I know that they do not mault. Thanks

my neighbour has one, lovely thing, she takes it maybe 4 times a year for clipping, just depends on how quick their coat grows I guess.

Its not entirely true that they do not moult. Depends entirely on which parent the dog takes after, they can be smooth coated and still shed, they can be medium/curly and still shed but also need clipping or they can be very curly and non moulting like a poodle so will need clipping regularly (as much as every six weeks). This is the problem with a crossbreed, you cannot know what they are going to be like until they are fully grown, even if they are a F1 (first cross between two purebreeds) but if they are crossed back again then you have lost any identity with original breeds.

My friend has one and she takes him regularly to be clipped as his coat grows quickly. He has a curly coat.
