Are we seeing the decline in the Briefcase ; for the laptop type bag ?

I can't remember the last time i saw someone carrying a briefcase - can you - or am i completely wrong ?

No you are right. Laptop cases are taking over. But I personally carry my briefcase as I always put my laptop in it. It is safe as no one breaks window of my car as they do not expect any thing more than a cheese sandwich in briefcase now a days.

Mini rucksacks are also popular. I use a mini rucksack myself, though I would use a briefcase if I was going to a meeting. Briefcases are formal.

They are also not well padded for protecting laptops!

Brief cases are for documents, but these days most people carry documents around in electronic format.

Somefolk do cart around with them some wonderful receptacles .

A colleague of mine brings with him to work , what I can only describe as a mini suitcase - I would love to see what exactly , he has inside it .

laptop bags and holdalls tend to be lighter to carry, especially as nowadays everyoe is a mobile office carryoing bits and bobs around everywhere.

the briefcase was only used for an apple and a copy of the telegraph from what i remember.

Well you need a license to caryy one now mate, even if you have advertising on the side. In fact you need a licence even if you just have one at home and never use it.

I use my laptop case for tesco shopping - so smart for jellied eels & keeps 'em cool.
