Why can't you say swear words on CB

Yes I swear in real life, if I smack my thumb with a hammer I will say "****"

But, when you type a message on a public website why swear?

I may be from a different era, but I don't swear in public, I don't swear in front of women, I don't swear in front of children, and I definately don't swear on a family website, and neither should any responsible person.

I don't swear at work unless the customer is a particular pain in the arse, I don;t swear at home very often and I definately don't swear around my grandchild, I swear at the laptop when it annoys me and sometimes I swear at this site when it really annoys me and i have been known to type some swear words on here occasionally, I'm no angel but I do try : ))

I respect your opinion Lonnie but I wouldn't decribe this as a family site.........I certainly don't consider it 'child-friendly'..........

My Nanny always says people who swear have a lack of volcabulary - so never swear in front of her or my children or my hubby or my Turkish neighbours.(he always says men should never swear in front of women if you swear in front of my wife - I will teach you manners!!!!)

Sometimes you can't help it though - especially when you get some silly person cutting you up when you're driving!!!

I never said it was child friendly craft1948, but it is a family site, all of it, we get people of all ages, and they can access any topic, therefore, I believe certain rules should be in place, and upheld, both by the editor, and us.
