Have my waters gone??? 35 weeks
Hi all
today has been a little different than most woke up feelin exhausted and have felt the same all day (normally up and about cleaning). Went shopping earlier and on my return needed to use the loo. After had a wee went to kitchen to unpack shopping...and felt like i was having another wee in my pants...however it wasn't alot, it was enough to reach my knees in a trickle before i realised what was happening...went back to the loo sat on, and nothing came..on my return to the kitchen it happened again...this time a little more and enough to leave a patch down my middle.
Rang midwife as i'm only 35 weeks today, she said i would have to ring the ward but advised me that if i wore a pad for an hour and it was dry that i had probably just wet myself. Unsure what happend now?? Was it my waters?
Baby still active, and experiencing tightenings but nothing painfull, i can just feel them and one side of my tummy goes solid when it happens. Also tummy has dropped.
I could do with a long soak in the bath ...am i allowed to?
Any advice helpful xx thanks x

Hi Ioza, you're so lucky you can be up an about doing things. At 37 weeks, I'm just knackered all the time and feel like I can barely walk anywhere. Haven't cleaned anything for months, but maybe that's just laziness on my part.
Have you been doing your Pelvic Floor exercises regularly, as it could be that you're experiencing a little bladder weakness. I would definitely ring your Labour ward and speak to them, I'm sure they will ask you to come in an check you over. I've been to mine twice and they were very good.
I wouldn't think a warm bath would hurt at all.

Does it matter sqad??!! Of course it matters to loza...Have you had a baby then? Oh, so no big deal eh? Do you know how it feels to be afraid or worried? I'm sorry but your lack of empathy & emotional understanding leaves me almost speechless sometimes.
Loza, I hope you're ok. Is this your first baby & are you alone? Don't be afraid to call the midwife or doctor if you feel you should.
All the best x

put a pad in after your bath.
Call the ward anyway as they can check you over if needs be, if waters are leaking then they will want to keep informed and will set induction date.
If you wet the pad then you may know if its wee or not by sniffing it. Wee smells of wee, but amniotic fluid doesnt smell or smells slightly sweet.
Dont just accept it may be wee, it may have been fore waters leaking.

Hello all, so sorry for the late reply! was in hospital two days after suspected waters went. Had a scan and it showed I had way too much water, so had a TORCH screen done, and found out today I have tested positive to CMV infection. Done my own research online and it's not looking to good...spent most of the day crying and the rest in silence. However, I WILL come to terms with this and my baby will never be loved any different...just want baby to arrive now then we can start planning ahead from here.
Thanks for all your comments by the way...I love this site, its like a different sorta friendship! x

Oh loza, I saw your name come up in recent posts but decided to come back to this thread & I see you've been back here too. I'm so sorry to hear that. I know nothing about cmv but I've had a quick google & can only try to imagine how worried you must be. I hope you've got family around you & I'm sure the hospital will take good care of you - there are probably others on here who've been through it & can offer you support. Take good care of yourself, we'll be thinking of you & your baby. x
oh Loza, I can only start to imagine how scared you must be. Did the hospital give you any information or have you only discovered things by googling? In my own experience googling is never a good idea as the scarey stories are the only ones that get reported.
There will be hundreds of women out there who have been diagnosed and yet had healthy babies and i hope that youll be one of those with a positive story to tell.
