Removing paint from stainless steel extractor fan

Anyone got any hand tips on removing paint from a stainless steel extractor - Ive been painting the ceiling white but the little tiny spots of paint have still got on the extractor fan!! Dont want to brillo pad, etc then as it will leave small scratches

Not done this but I reckon it'll work if they are just flecks. Try a dab of paint stripper on a cotton wool ball, rub over, then wipe off with paper towel or another ball.
