they will stop people from being able to see your laptop from out in the street, so yes it probably would make it safer!

I personally wouldn't go anywhere near them!

But then the first thing I do when installing windows is to disable all the fancy visual stuff, I would rather my computers used their power to actually do useful stuff and not just display pretty but pointless effects.

I'll leave the pointless visual effects that actually distract from performance for the sort of people that drive round in stuff like this.

Well Chuck I gave it a go & it bu**ered things up , windows live platform kept closing & couldn't open any web pages Thankfully I'd made a restore point .
