texting a mobile in NZ

my son has got a nz mobile phone and has given me his number, but when I try to text him T Mobile say they cant send it.

Does anyone know if I have to put a number in before the number he has given me. his number starts 021 but I was wondering if something went before that.

if anyone knows I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Start by either pressing + or dialling 00.
Then enter the international code for New Zealand: 64
Then enter the NZ phone number, excluding the initial 0.

My sister lives in NZ the code i use to her mobile is 0064 thats instead of the 0.So you would dial 006421 then the rest of the number.Hope this helps
