Google street view.

I go into street view a lot - great.

But for the first time, there's a shaded box that moves with the cursor & has a magnifying glass with a + sign in it. Don't know why it's all of a sudden appeared but I can't get rid of it.

Any ideas please?

Have you set screen magnifier in windows using mouse? If you have a five button mouse it is activated/de-activated with button on right side. (not button on right side of wheel).

No. I've not changed anything since yesterday.

My mouse is a basic.

The shaded box changes shape & size also.

For some reason, without me doing a thing - the shaded box has gone! ???!!!

oh yes you have!!!

it's the area indicator -
in the bottom right there is an arrow
in your case it will be pointing down right

click it - it will change to up left ... and the ikkle bok will have gone

I really don't know what you're on about.

The shaded box is sometimes there & sometimes not. But mostly it is.

I'm not doing anything differently & after having been in Street view for months, off & on, today is the first time this has started happening.

Tis driving me mad. Mad I tell you - MAD!!!

That pic you posted is not my prob. The purple box in that pic is not in the st view I'm getting.

The box is there right IN the St view itself. The cursor is right in the middle of this grey shaded box & follows the cursor.

So there I am in Sunset Blvd eg & have this grey "shape" that moves & changes shape when I move the mouse around.

I hope I'm explaining myself properly.
