My wife is confined to a wheelchair and whilst pushing her in noisy shopping areas verbal communication is very difficult. Does anybody know of a battery powered twoway telecommunication system? I visualise a headset with microphone for each of us so that we can chat without my having to continually lean down (and so not looking where I am going). Thanks in hope.

Is there a shopmobility in the shopping centre?
If so you can hire one of those scooters she can drive herself.
That way you can walk along beside her.
My wife has just has an operation on her foot, and we joined shopmobility for 10 for the year and now she can have a free scooter every time we go shopping.

Also phone your local carers centre.
They can give help and advice, and may be able to get funding to help buy your headsset if you need to buy one.
You can also claim carers allowance if you are not doing so already.
Also get carers days out things like that.
