how do I cancel an (open with) command on my pc. When I try to cancel I just get other options to open the file with i just want to cancel it and start again from scratch

Hitting "Esc" once or twice should work (assuming using Windows?)

what are you trying to do

is it a file opening with the wrong program (association)
or is it an unknown file that windows is trying to open

which version of windows
where is the file from - what's it's full name?
