Is anyone else really irritated by the way that T4 show a brutally edited version of Futurama? In today's episode, "Xmas Story", the mild "c" word, and the word "booze" were the two most noticable, as well as two lines from the "Santa Claus is gunning you down!" song at the end.

Since when have "ass" and "booze" been inapropriate for morning television?

No disrespect QmunkE but what's wrong with the word Booze being mentioned in morning television?.Futurama is a cartoon that is really aimed at an older audience.I see no difference if it's mentioned in a cartoon or in a news item that time in the morning.

Booze is a slang word for alchol,it's not as if it's a swear word.

I think you misread the post - I was complaining about them censoring perfectly acceptable words. My point is exactly the same as yours - it's aimed at a more adult audience, so why do they try to edit it into a childrens cartoon!

Because they think it's a kids' show and schedule it as such, and then hack bits out of it - after all, kids won't notice, right?

UK broadcasters are all the same when it comes to American TV - they think The Simpsons, Family Guy, Buffy, Angel etc. are for kids and show them at 6pm with many edits, thus ruining them for the real fans.

yes, the question isn't who they're made for but who they're shown to. Booze is a pretty well-known word, but ass is still something you'd hesitate to say in front of kids. Well, I would.
