I banked some cheques on Saturday at midday and drew on them on Tues evening about 7pm. Natwest are pretty good.

i went to check my balance today it says i have 250 pound in credit but i can withdraw nil how come?

Because it is still clearing. Looks like they've put 3 days on it and you'll have to wait til Tuesday. Unless they don't count the day you bank it as a full working day.
