no internet connection
i have a sony vaio laptop with windows vista home premium i am currently with bt and using home hub 2.0 wireless connection..as soon as i turn my laptop on it connects automatically to the hub no probs i can browse for a few hours then ..bang no internet i check for wireless connections and my bt homehub isnt even listed so refresh it still not there so restart hub still not there so restart computer go back to wireless connections and the bt hub is there but sometimes says windows canno connect to it ..ive contacted bt they sent me a new hub but still have same problem it will connect then loose connection its frustrating it can sometimes be ok for like 3 days but then go off again ive only started having these problems the last 5 or 6 weeks now and ive been with bt for 6 months and had no problems with them at all its not there end as all test have been carried out so whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????????

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.ive moved the hub several times works for a whilen goes off agen same problem im starting to think its my laptop because wen i lose connection if i take my laptop right next to thehub and then search for it my laptop doesnt even pick it up as if it doesnt exist so then restart my laptop and then finds it but not always?
but you're not proving anything with what you are doing
depending why - if the connection goes - it won't re-connect , you have to reboot
try the wire for a couple of nights - if no drops - it's the wifi
if it drops - it's the line (any noise on calls - does it drop to incoming/outgoing calls ... does an incoming call rfresh it?)
what lights are showing when it is/isn't working
if the transmission level is low - you get exactly what you describe - you could try to get them to up the gain
