My simple printer died and I decided to upgrade to an all singing, all dancing model. I have broadband and a telephone line into the study where my PC lives. I've bought a CanonMX 300. I've attached the power cable and the telephone connector to the machine but I don't know what to do with the other end of the telephone type wire. Where my phone line comes in I have a device showing the line in and 2 outputs underneath, 1 for the modem and 1 for the phone. Can anyone tell me where to put the connection please?

But if I put the printer into the phone socket I have to remove the broadband connection. I'm counting to more than 3... LOL
unplug your phone from the ADSL splitter, plug the fax into the splitter in it's place and then plug the phone into the second socket on the back of the fax!

If you have only one socket on the fax then you will need a phone splitter... like this
