I'm watching the programme about reducing the speed limit
12 Answers
and so far i am not convinced, danny died instantly when he lost control of his motorbike on a diesel spillage , he was doing 26mph but the lamppost did not bend and it ruptured his heart valve. If he had been speeding he would have shot past the lamppost and probably hit a hedge. Just my opnion. Most bikers are not idiots, the idiot just on the programme doing 108 on a diel carriageway usually get away with it too.

PeaceTaker is right.
Bikers are the target of "trendy" (but misguided) campaigns by the Police and authorities.
But bikers don't cause many accidents.
Blase car drivers do.
I had a motorbike accident. A car drivers, who agreed that he hadn't looked, opened his door into my path. The bike was smashed, door wrecked, I was flung into the air like a rag doll and smashed into the road in the middle of the traffic.
The car driver, of course, was fine. He had caused mayhem, but he was protected by his big, metal box.
Nothing to do with speed ... just stupidity.
