Left or right side

When you go to a tailor to have a suit made (not that i have!) why is it they ask you which side do you dress from? ie left or right.

does it mean they need more material on one side of the suit?

I assume, Kentishbear, that you're a fella'. It's also likely that you're sitting down, while wearing trousers.

Based upon those assumptions, the crotch of your trousers will have risen up when you sat down, pushing your scrotum to one side. If you were wearing a professionally-tailored pair of trousers they'd have been made with slightly more free space to one side of the crotch, in order to comfortably accommodate your scrotum. The side to which your balls naturally fall is euphemistically described as the side which you dress to (or from).

2. If he did, was it really so that he could "tie" his willy out of sight down between his bum cheeks ?

robknot - most brassieres are the same both sides...and to answer your question, yes - one side is left a bit wanting (only a little, mind). could say the same about boy's underwear and the 'pouch'. do you boys always end up with saggy bits too? x

ewww...was entirely expecting the 'of course not, i've got a great big...' answer - not that! i haven't drunk enough alcohol yet to not feel the effects of a comment like that (and before anyone comments, i work weekends and today is my saturday). speaking of age and sagginess, i was with a friend in a breast clinic the other day and i saw the most enormous, southerly heading breasts i have ever clapped eyes on in my life. truly jaw-dropping - and not in a good way either x

hate to say it, but balls are not the prettiest of articles, are they? now - when bits were invented, as well as concentrating on the pleasure side of things, did god not consider the aesthetics...silly really, because if they were prettier to look at, we ladies might have spent more time utilising them...
