Have have installed a new BT Wireless 2100 modem/router to my main pc downstairs (connected by a Ethernet cable from pc to modem/router) and my pc upstairs in my sons room has a 1040 wireless desktop adapter plugged in the back so he can share the internet connection.
He has a webcam connected to his pc. How do I view the webcam from my pc downstairs?
Can I look at his pc from mine downstairs like a network neighbourhood or is there another way. He's 7 and i've noticed things from the fridge keep ending up in his room, wanna catch him in the act, ha ha.
Cheers for your help in advance.
PS: I'm running XP on both machines

For the cam, his pc will need some sort of broadcasting software such as webcamxp. Install it and turn it on, then from your pc, watch the broadcast. I think most of these broadcast softwares should have ways for you to make it private.
If you want to literally watch his pc screen, you might consider gotomypc.com. You can log onto that screen and view the desktop as if you were sitting at his chair. I don't know if that disables his use or not, as I've only used it from one of my pc's at one location to view and work on a pc at another location.
I don't want my son to be able to use it or anybody else see it. I need it to check up on the little tykes antics.
You see things have been going missing in the house and most of them have been found in his room. We wanted to see where his little hiding places are. You see it's a very big house and we want to know what he's up to and no we don't trust him....lol. Thanks.
