Mmmmm... sounds interesting, if somewhat offensive to some. Lots of black & white line drawings do you think? Or full-on colour diagrams?

Well that didn't take long :-) The title of the book in question is "The Cottager's Sketchbook", and as expected it has raised a smile and witty comments. The sketches referred to are not drawings, they are short literary essays (called sketches) , the collected works of an eminent Chinese lexicographer and translator. It's a bit like the horrified expression on American's faces when an English person asks for an eraser giving it it's English name.

In all honesty it's beautiful book and very easy to read, insightful and at times funny.
Short chapters great for reading in bed, ooh, here we go again....
