6 Answers
Hi, does anyone know if there is a law stateing that homemade preserves to be sold elsewhere have to have an air tight lid, or can they be sold just with the cling film and parchment paper to make it airtight, a website containing this info would be much appreciated as ive looked but cant find. Thank you

There used to be plenty of preserves and so on for sale at church sales-of-work, Scouts & Guides coffee mornings etc but I suppose the health and safety police are on to that now and you can't 'sell' any home produce without jumping through multiple hoops. Perhaps it is OK to accept a donation for the worthy cause instead? Cheers, Andy
