such a nauseating show as when Lord of the Gorbals ,Michael Martin, entered the Commons today, they fawned all over him, heaping praise upon his head, his claim to fame being the first speaker in 300 yrs to fall on his sword, the sycophantic display was a joke,

Although I believe that both Vince Cable and Frank Field would both be ideal candidates, I would hate to see either of them emasuclated into the post of Speaker where they could no longer contribute to the political debate. Both of them have a huge amount of sensible things to say. I want to continue hearing both of them keep saying them. Goodness knows, there a few enough honourable politicians sitting on those green benches these days. We can't really afford to lose any more of them.

I really think you are right there whoever, I have a lot of time for them both and they are definatley good attributes in an otherwise corrupt place
