I have just done a small repair job on my car...My question is. Why does the spray (Metallic Grey) keep turning white? Should I leave it to ' work' and would it eventually turn grey...it's annoying me.Thanks. John.

no primer, rubbed down the original paint..

No bare metal involved.
this is usually caused by damp in the atmosphere getting trapped in the paint, you don't say what type of paint it is.
Is it
water based,
two pack,
Cellulose,( unlikely )
Since cellulose was banned car spraying has become increasingly tricky, and expensive.
as above its called blooming . warm the metal up with some sort of heat source before spraying
