The Ericsson one we chose lasted only about 6 months too, so we changed it for the Panasonic PAN 775. The Link do an offer with an extra handset/charger that doesn't need a phone socket either (like the BT one). Looks neat - the base unit has a small footprint, sounds clear, supports Caller ID, you can have different ringtones for groups of numbers(e.g. one for family one for friends).
Not the cheapest option but useful if you want an ansafone too.....and it doesn't go doolally during and after a power cut!
