Fixing to pre-cast concrete
2 Answers
We are moving soon to a house which has a pre-cast comcrete garage.
We are going to need to use the garage walls as part of the storage, and as a non-DIYer it seems to me that the easiest option would be to fix strong wooden battens to the inside walls, and fix other necessary hooks etc to the battens.
But what is the best way to attach the battens themselves to the walls?
All ideas will be welcomed.
Also we will be keeping a fridge, freezer and wine store in there, so ideas for security are very necessary.
Many thanks.

Mairzy, also look at storage units, metal or plastic, available in most diy stores and easily assembled. We have them, heavy duty plastic and reasonably priced, and got the garage sorted in no time...and no drilling...
Just to say, re fridge and freezer, most newer models will throw a wobbly and suddenly defrost if you house them in a cold environment like a garage. You may need to add some heat out there during really cold snaps or take advice from the manufacturer of your appliance. You don't want to lose the food in there......
