Sorry for the late reply. I've been doing some proper work (shock ... I know).

Ascot was just fab, thank you.

I only had 1 winner. In the first race, there was a horse called Radiohead, like the band ... who I really like. So I backed it and won well over �200.

After that, I lost all day. I even bet against Yeats. I bet on the other one ... Geordie something or other.

So I was badly down on the day ... especially after giving the Champagne and seafood bar a good seeing to!

But, it was all thoroughly jolly. We hired a stretch Hummer to take us there, which was fun. We were a bit trolleyed by the time we arrived.

The WAMs (Wives and Mothers ... those of our group who are married and sprogged) were just wild. They always go a bit nuts when they are let off the leash. I think I can drink, but those girls ... Whooaaahh !!

Anyway, thanks for asking. It was fab and jolly, and I've almost recovered from the headache ...

... which, I think, must have been due to the sun !
