let down by train service

My son & girlfriend went to get a train up to Preston last night they had tickets for the Guild hall. Due to a power failure no trains running so they had to get a taxi which cost �35.00 so much for public transport & keeping cars off the road

the rail company should have put buses on surely, or they should pay for your taxi if you had booked seats.
